COLLABORATIONS

I'd like to use this journal as a place to share how I've come to where I am, and where I am going. Part of this will have to include these little humans, because they are what has been driving me forward. Making me want to show them the best me. Show them what a strong woman can achieve. Motivate them to live their dreams, whatever that may be. I don't want to shape them. They're very capable of that. But I do want to show them what my dream is and what it takes to make that happen - HARD WORK!

It's been a week of canvas prepping here... The most tedious of stages. I can't wait to actually begin painting again!  Emilia, my four year old daughter, has been helping me out with the stretching and making the process so much more entertaining, as she does with most things in her world. She is bursting with light and helps me return to mine, daily. I've come to realize that in order to embrace this life again I will need to incorporate it into the life I have and the people in it.  Hopefully they are a little more forgiving this week, because I am pretty burnt out. I may need to rethink this "no need for sleep" plan...

I've taken on a few large commissions - one for a project in Beijing and another in Vancouver.  I'm also starting several new pieces to send to my new gallery in Montreal - Duran Mashaal Gallery. I'm thrilled to be newly represented by them, joining their roster of amazing artists!  I will be working towards a solo show with them! I can't wait to begin painting and will be sure to post lots along the way.
