After what feels like many many months, I am finally poking my head out of my deep hidden burrow. My eyes are adjusting to the amount of light and noise there is out here and well, I think I need to be more patient with myself in this adjustment period. I need to heal.

My work is very different then Hopper's, but I can certainly relate to the feeling that words are sometimes, and in my case, very often not enough.
I have created a video about what it is I do as an artist, where I come from and what motivates me. It also provides a glimpse into how it is I see beauty, memory and light.

Spring FINALLY has arrived. It really did feel like winter on repeat this year. Kind of like Groundhog Day, a never ending loop of 12,403 days. I am so excited for the change that spring brings. All this fresh newness in the air has made me want to step things up a bit. I have been working really hard to build the perfect website loaded with visual treats and light filled inspirations. I can finally say that it is pretty much complete.

I was completely floored by the overwhelming response to my work. The most encouraging feedback I received was that people were experiencing a sense of peace and calm meditation from my work, which really is so incredible. This is how I feel when I paint. Painting is my meditation. I am so happy that this really is a tangible experience that actually can be passed on through my art. Thank you to everyone who came out to see my latest work! I feel so full now and have some fresh ideas for work to come!
